With the arrival of the Fire Horse, our texts are filled with warm glow, activity, and pleasant summer warmth.
The colour palette of red, orange, and pink is reflected in most of the texts in this issue, and you will find it in the natural realm of plants and minerals, as well as in the symbolism of dreams and Haitian Vodou.
The horse could not be missing this year, so the fiery summer issue is dedicated to it, albeit from a different perspective than that of the Chinese horoscope, namely from the perspective of Slavic tradition and, in part, Christianity as reflected in folk magic.
However, we will still take a look at distant lands when the scent of Egyptian incense lures us on a journey to the warm sun. This will certainly inspire a desire for deep spiritual work, which we can devote ourselves to within the framework of women's mysteries or Jewish kavanah.
The poetry page will put us in a contemplative mood, and our minds will also be stimulated by an interview with Dr Sabina Magliocco. Finally, we will ground ourselves in the cooler environment of Nordic alchemy, which will introduce us to the element of salt in Germanic mythology.
